I just lived the most scaring moment.
As long-time readers of my LJ may knew, my father is a late diagnosised (and hardcore) bipolar. He's now under drugs, after I had to put him in psychiatric unit more than a little year ago. One of the things we were said, my mother and I, about that disease, is that people often have a change of personnality (I've seen it with my brother, who's not yet diagnosised) : there was signs for my father, but nothing that could make me jump in awe. Till today.
My father had always been crazy about cars. He's engineer, but he'd have work for car industry. Before manic-depression, 50% of his time was dedicated to our garagist (I can't find the good word). Today, he's awaiting a new car (toyota's prius, the car of modern times : I quote my ironical mum) : and suddenly, he tells me he doesn't car about cars, and never had, really. It'd be like I wake up one morning and say I just don't care about books, and never loved them, really !! It's not nonesense, it's crazy !
I was thinking he was better, but actually, he's just fooling us, willingly or not...

This disease is probably the most awfull think you can have to dealt with because it turns loving people we care for into monsters.
Thanks a lot.
