I know some of you (at least [livejournal.com profile] bauhausfrau) have made the 18th quilted jacket with an hood from Janet arnold. I was wondering what length and width of fabric you used.

I have that fabulous fabric (3 meters in 110cm width) and I'm pretty sure I won't have enough to make that jacket, but I'd prefer to have an estimation of how much fabric is needed to cut it for an average woman. To make myself an idea.

Thanks in advance !

Mine was a home dec fabric so I'm pretty certain it was 55 inches, it was a minimum of 50.

You can always piece the fabric, I did! The corner of one or both sleeve ends was pieced.

I'm very excited to see the fabric!

I can't tell you, sorry. I cut the jacket and petticoat from a bed quilt.
