You have the right to think there's a curse on your head when :
- you find out that the bias color you searched in three different shops and didn't found out and thought didn't exist and replaced with a contrasting color (marron glacé) actually exists in the only shop you didn't looked at. Now I have weightned my budget, and I just have to found a marroun project to use my marroun bias. And killed myself, for, of course, I found out the right color of bias only after I've finished sewing all my pippings.
- you walk round all Paris to find the only existing rufflette in this f***ing country that have wide enough holes for my steels. Ouch, my feet!
- you finally recieve your steels for the cage to find out that none of yours cutting tools actually cut steel : what the purpose of a cutting plier if not to cut steel ?!! With my tools, it took me 15 minutes to cut a segment and I shouldn't say cut, but rather breake. Ugh ! fortunately I needed only four steels.
- oh, yes ! you managed to cut one steel to the wrong length.
- you can't laced correctly your corset to save your life.
- you made plans to work on three different parts of your dress in the course of the week-end and up only doing your cage, because, it is not that difficult, but it's long, and boring, and never quite work the way you expected.
Anyway, I have a cage crinoline !! It needs some finitions (the boring ones), but nothing that I can't do while working on the rest of the dress. Hurrah ! Pictures, soon, I hope. If I found out how the timer work on my camera.
