I've maybe found the fabric for my 1840s/1850s dress : http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8245430631&fromMakeTrack=true

It looks like those wonderfully ugly fabrics they used in the 1840s. My only concern is wether it's in silk, and are the stripes really red, like the seller pretends, or pink as I saw them. I don't want to wear pink...

EDIT : of course, the fabric is poly, and I want to avoid polyester and acetate.

And this time, I'm sure it's natural.

I above all, it has a pattern, and the idea of having a fabric with a pattern nearly totaly won me over...

J'aime ! Les rayures m'ont l'air plus rouges que roses, framboise je dirais.
Si c'est de la soie, ce n'est pas cher du tout !

Malheureusement, ce n'en est pas.

Je vais aller faire les boutiques de tissus demain, pour voir si je me trouve un truc na-tu-rel pour pas cher, et sinon, je vais me rabattre là-dessus. Le problème, c'est qu'à Carnet de bals, ils ont l'air d'interdire les polyesters !!

Le deuxième est sympa, mais le coupon a l'air petit.
Je te recommande stoffamstueck.de , pour les matière snaturelles. Ils ont de la soie très abordables et des satins de coton épais très bien, d'après le smultiples éloges que j'en ai entendu. Si tu as besoin d'un coup de main pour l'allemand, je suis là.

I am so jealous! But this does leaves me the time to make a the dress for me and my b-friend! But, oh, I so want to go! I'm probably going to nag about this everytime you write about this! :) But the pink fabric looked really nice!
