There's that fabric on ebay, there are two similar pieces (maybe enough for my sack dress, though I would have like making it in red and white stripes), I love the stripes and the color, but it's an acetate taffetas. I've never worked with acetate taffetas, but the general impressing I had with them is that they are very cardboard-like, and won't give a good period effect.
But this one (on the picture, at least) look rather smooth.

Decision decision... I have to make a decision before 18h00 (when I'm leaving my job and the comp) and I can't mde up my mind upon it : advice ?

I don't know... I can't remember whether the taffetas I used to line my cape with was acetate or polyester, but it was nice and flowing - even a little bit too slippery. I generally don't use acetate next to my skin (itch itch itch), but you'll be wearing a chemise under the gown, so it shouldn't be that much of a matter.
The fabric seems quite smooth on the picture, and I like the colors. Not sure you'll have enough for the sack dress, though (check marquise.de's page here (http://marquise.de/en/1700/howto/frauen/contouche1.shtml) to be sure)

I'm sorry I'm posting this so late, but I think it looked allright! AND would yiu mind really a lot if I made the dress for Vaux-Le-Vicomte which is in the same "design"? Of course, I won't be using the same fabrics and stuff, just the general idea of the dress! I mean the polonaise, or would you prefer that I choose another dress. I won't be offended if you say that you prefer me not to make a same dress!
