Frustration

Now I remember why I had put away this pattern (second dress from top), even when I adore it, had the fabric to do it, etc. I took it all back to work on it again, and after 3 hours of drafting, fiddling and swearing, I'm going to sleep knowing that trying to adapt this evil pattern for a fat woman was just pointless and that I worked for nothing. And right now, I want to throw myself on my bed to cry my frustration out.

Ugh, I haven't bought it because I know the attempt would leave me in tears as well. A tiny lady, yes, but not a broad Teuton like myself. :( I feel your pain.

Thank you. It just feels better to remember that it was made for a petite 18th c woman, which I happen to forget.

It wasn't easy making it for an average woman, I have to tell you. (I made it for a customer.) There is something not quite right about the proportions!
