For those who have the book of the Kyoto Institut, skip that post and open it : for the other, I took a "photography" (?!!) with my very very bad webcam.

This is the kind of polonaise I intent to do.

I called it a round polonaise because I think it is made with that pattern, the Leloir pattern, the only one of that kind of polonaise I have found.

For the robe à l'anglaise, the model for that pattern,is that dress (also seen here).

New project?

Polonaise gowns can be so funky. I am so annoyed at myself for beginning to like the 18.th century gowns.... I've always seen myself as a Renaissance and Victorian girl. And I AM - but I've come to appreciate many of the techniques and decoration methods seen in the Rococco outfits. Though, I'm not TOO crazy about the overall silhouettes and hairdo's - yet...... ;)
