Exhibits in Paris

There will be the Années Folles exhibit from october to february (with dresses by Chanel, Lanvin, Vionnet, Babani, Natalia Gontcharova, Sonia Delaunay, and Poiret _ insider informations thanks to lisotchka), but also Histoires de Mode by Christian Lacroix, that is a mix of ancient gowns chosen in the collection by the designer, and gowns of his own. And no, I do not to go to that exhibit costumed :))

And also, for lisotchka, who will probably be the only one in Paris at that time to see it : there is an auction at Drouot the 19th october, with old costumes since the XVIIIth century. You can see them the 18th, all day, I think, and the 19th, few hours before the auction which is at 14h. Informations are available in Brocante Magazine with a pretty 1870s blue dress picture in it. I didn't yet find any informations at the drouot site. I don't know if there will be a catalogue.

Ack ! I wann see this one too ! I REALLY have to schedule a long week-end in Paris before April. Maybe March ? I'll try to negociate somtehign with the Home Geek and his shiny new job... Pretty hard to predict now how the RTT front will look for him by then since he hasn't yet signed the contract. (but the hiring offer was int he mail today, yay !)

BTW, we should start putting down a date for the Orsay plan (I'll take some time next week to phone the museum and check we can come in). Somewhere around the end of February ?

Hoooo... It sounds very interesting, this auction! Perhaps a little glimpse after my depiction of report?;-) I shall inquire.
For the exhibition with Lacroix: you should not miss hit!There will be 500 items,this is absolutely enormous!
For Orsay, I don't know if my dress would be ready on February.
Les Années Folles ends on 29th February...

Argh ! End of February ? Argh ! errrrr.... So the best way for me would be to group Orsay and the costume exhibits visits. So that means taking a week of for me, and some days for the HG and errrrr... *brain rattle* I *really* need to check on my next paysheet how my vacation time is doing.
