BOOKS

- Favourite book : Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. Because this is not only a book about passion : it's one of the few books I know that really tell thousand things new every time you read it.
I also have a passion for The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. My "h" is misplaced, but I just can't find the right spelling of her name. Arghhh !!

- Favourite author : Emily Brontë. Above. Everyone. Else. I can find a lot of author whome I adore, but she's the only one that make my heart beat faster when I read her (I'm a sucker for her poetry) : it's a love story between Emii and I.
But I love Carson McCullers, Jane Austen, Charlotte and Anne Brontë (shamely ignored Anne !!), Karen Blixen, and Gustave Flaubert.

- The book you wish you'd wrote : The God of Small Thing. Wuthering Heights is too much iconic for me to think about something as trivial as this about it.

- Last book you've read and when : Fatou Diome Le Ventre de l'Atlantique; ten days ago. Just after I finished it, I had my flu and my 40°C fevers, and I couldn't read : that why I'm now reading three books at the same time :)

- The book you've re-read the most : The never-ending story, by Michael Ende. I just loved that book when I was twelve, it's crazy. Still one of this book I would bring on a deserted island if I were LOST !!! Much much better than the movie (even if the first was really good) : less childish, more philosophical.

- The soon to be published book you're waiting for : HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What else ?

- What you hate in a book : When the author try too show how many researchs he had made and how good in his subject he is : in historical books, for instance, when he's trying to make his character speak like period people, and it just sounds so wrong. Or worse, when the author think it's better to make pass informations through dialogs, because some bad creative writing told him it was a lighter way to make them assimilate by the reader. And THIS is so WRONG !!

- The book that made you cried the most : strangely, I don't cry when I'm reading. I rarely laugh aloud also. I barely smile, even when the book is so funny I wanna piss in my pants ! I keep everything in the inside.

- The book that made you laught the most : idem... But actually, I found very few books that have my kind of humour, and I don't wanna find books that make me laugh. It's not my cup of tea. I would say that Jonathan Coe is someone that really touched me on the "laughing" side.

FILMS AND TV SHOWS

- Favourite movie : Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures

- Favourite actor : I change every week :)

- Favourite actress : Sissy Spaceck (I misspelled it again), Kate Winslet.

- The movie you can't wait to see : The Brothers Grimm

- The movie you watched the most : The never-ending story when I was... 12 :)

- Last movie saw in theatres : Closer, and to the difference of some friend of mine (I'm not pointing anyone, Babe...) I really really liked it !

- What you hate in a movie : Pretention. Okay it's vast, but between a movie like Casino, by Scorcese, Ocean's eleven, I choose the second. Apparently, it's the most pretentious, with all it's STARS, but in fact, it never take itself for serious : it's sounds like a friends movie. The Scorcese movie tells in every image : I'm a Scorcese movie, I have a STORY to tell, and because it's a damn serious mafia movie, with that damn serious director, and that so damned serious De Niro, I had to be THE movie. I HATE Casino.
I also hate when I pay 8 euros for a movie whose director has so much technical imagination I have the impression to watch a tv movie.

- The movie that made you cry the most : I would say Schindler List but I'm not proud of it, because I don't cry at the good moment. I always cry when the director choose to make me cry. And I cry a lot at movies...

- The movie that made you laugh the most : uhh... I don't remember. Wasn't probably a memorable movie.

- Favourite tv show : The Law and order shows. I have a special thing for Criminal intent, but they all hooked me.

- The tv show everyone loved but YOU didn't watch it : Sienfield. I watch ten minutes of it one day, and it just burnt my brain with its stupidity.
