Christian Lacroix, it's over. Done. Finished. Goobye and Farewell.

No money, no Haute Couture.

And, the most sad : hundred people with rare, inimitable couture gifts and rare knowledge have lost their job. And won't find any more job in the couture. There were only three haute couture ateliers left in France : Chanel, Dior and Lacroix. I know for sure that Chanel's still exists (saw uncountable tv documentaries on it, with the stupid Kaiser), but I've heard that most Dior production has been send abroad, and not only ready-wear. And now, Lacroix.

Sad, sad, sad. Haute couture is just too expensive...

Oh no! That is really tragic :( I heard that Lacroix has been really struggling through the last few Couture seasons. It's sad not only for the designer, but as you say, all of those poor employees! Every one of those couture seemstresses is an artist. I hope they can find some way to pass on their tradition.
