Ineed to lose weight in my breast, on my face and I definitively need to begin saving money for plastic surgery, because my profile nose is really AWEFUL. especially when I smile. Look at that, I am the witch with the crooked nose :

And don't tell me it's in my head because it won't change my mind !

I'm tired...

On Saturday, after one day in my stays and dress : I was a bit faded and I obviously lost one of my pins...

On Sunday : I've had a terrible saturday night, I had fever, so on the next day, I was paaaale...

Oh and, don't ask a frenchman to take a picture of you :)

Thank you all for your nice comments on my polonaise. I'm feeling so ... WOW!!!

[livejournal.com profile] fiofiorina : yes this is my dress for the 23th.

I took two days off the making of the ume dress because, really, I coudl't stand it anymore (I have warmer feelings toward it now !), and now I have a wonderful striped anglaise !! I polonaised it.

I will try to make pictures tomorrow with the hat and maybe the cane.

I want to use it without pad, because huh, well, I'm fat enough like that, but I don't know if it will work. I had a pad which was not to big, rather a smooth bump on the ass, but I have no idea where I put it. Bugger !

but we have a big hat, and big feathers :

It's in case I manage to finish my anglaise for the 23th.

on other news, the ume dress is driving me crazy, and i'm beginning to hate it : kilometers of handsewn bias (every time i used machine, i ruined my bias), I manage to bleed on the white silk, have to wet it to remove it, but it's a silk which doesn't like water, and which apparently doesn't let the iron press it. and I will never have the time to make a matching hat.

[livejournal.com profile] green_martha, I'm also giving up on the 20s dress, because I didn't excpect that the ume dress would be so time consuming, and the 20s dress is also time consuming. sorry.

and tonight, i'm on caps strike.

Yes it's all your fault, if I don't work on my costumes. I've had so few connection this week that I choose to pass the few time I had on internet on Ravelry (my bad), but also I work on my costumes.

First, I'm reconsidering going to that 18th exhibit [livejournal.com profile] lisotchka talked about. I was (and still is) afraid of the kind of "costumers" who might attend, but [livejournal.com profile] fioforina coming made it suddenly very interesting. I so want to meet her.

So I get out of the waiting line my striped polonaise (I begin it in november, but put it on the waiting line because of the two other deadlines I had : the 1928 and the ume dresses) : still a lot of work to do.

------------------------------------------------------

Second, I work on the ume dress (because now I have my ume fabric !) : I made step one and two of the fitting/modifying pattern :

Step one :
This the pattern I modify (pattern in the gallery)

Step one is the fitting of that basis. It doesn't matter that it doesn't close on the front, becquse that piece will be cut out, and partly replace by another one.

Step two ;
the pieces are heavily modified. But here, white on white, you can't really see it.

I recieve today some La Mode Illustrée that I bought on Ebay, and of course, because it's me, because this kind of thing always happened to me, one of them is not the good one. Wrong year. I could have let go if 1) this one was not still on sale on Ebay. Stupide seller... 2) it's one of this LMI which content is merely "What if we talk about chairs ?". Booooring.

Now I have to send it back, wait for the other one, bla bla bla. I don't have time and money to spend in all this sh*t.

On a most cheerfull side, I have a back up plan for Vault le Vicomte : as my dress-in-Think-in-Progress will be complicated (lot of pattern to improvise), I decided that I needed a quick back-up plan. and fortunately, while searching the stash, I found a lovely striped cotton fabric that I had forgotten, out of which I should be able to make the Pattern of Fashion 1780-90 Round Gown. It would make a lovely summer dress.
